Very rare Surrealist journal, circa 1943, entitled "VVV", and edited by American sculptor David Hare, with Andre Breton, Max Ernst, and Marcel Duchamp as editorial advisors. The double issue offered in this listing is famous for it's covers designed by Duchamp: on the front is an etching representing an allegory of death and the back cover features the shape of a woman's profile.
