Art Deco Desk by Wolfgang Hoffmann, USA, 1930's
A sleek example of American Art Deco design that shows Wolfgang Hoffmann's European influences. While American, this piece is very similar to the clean, tubular lines of Marcel Breuer and the Bauhaus. It is also a rare example of Hoffmann's work for Howell, and is the only example we have seen in 15 years of collecting American Art Deco.

Very good condition. Refinished. Minor scratches, rubs, and wear. Chrome plated tubing has some areas of oxidation, mainly at the bottom left tube.
