Large Scale Bookcase by Gilbert Rohde with Exotic Paldao Wood

Gilbert Rohde for Herman Miller, circa 1940's. This piece is a versatile size and would be the perfect multi-functional piece if you could only have one case piece in a room. It has numerous areas to store and display objects, as well as a fold down desk surface with it's own built in lamp. The cabinet is constructed of beautifully grained exotic Paldao wood veneers, with black lacquered trim, and original textured cork backing.
